Mother Died Today
Thanking you in advance for your prayers and condolences, I'm letting y'all know that Mother died today at St. Edwards in Ft. Smith. I had gone down for a visit Tuesday morning and while I was there she had a stroke. The ambulance rushed her to Ft. Smith and by the time I got to the hospital she had slipped into a coma and did ot awaken . She seemed at peace the whole time. colin

Colin, I am sad to hear of your Mother's passing, but at the same time I am filled with gratitude for her life. She was my Sunday School teacher more than once, and I still have so many scriptures memorized that she encouraged us to keep in our hearts. In fact, your Mother was my Sunday School teacher when I asked Jesus into my heart as an 8 year old. I remember now how very proud she was that night.
How proud and honored I feel tonight to remember that your parents were my friends and helped get my life off to the right start!
Isn't it amazing how God works, Colin. He waited until you would be with your Mom before he allowed the stroke. One can only wonder how long it would have been before anyone knew something was wrong if you hadn't been there.
Your Mom was always such a quiet and gentle person. I can still hear her greeting on those many occasions when I would go in Tates to buy something. It was your Mom that helped me pick out gifts for my Mom on so many birthdays and Christmases.
You've always been there for her these many years and I know you'll miss her greatly.
God be with you and your's, Colin. Sorry to hear it.
Please accept my deepest sympathies, Colin. There are no words that can erase the loss that comes with the death of one's Mother. That loss will always be there but it is tempered by the knowledge that our loving God has taken the Mother into His eternal house.
Little Margret will be missed at FBC. Just the 2 Sundays before she passed I was in her Sunday School Class, once because her teacher wasn't there so our class combined with hers and then the last Sunday I had to go into her classroom to leave something for the teacher. She was as spry as her body allowed her right up till the end. My sympathy to you and the family.
