My hat’s off to you, Colin

Well, you were right Colin, I was wrong. Brett Farve is for real and he showed why with four TD passes at 40-years-old. The Dallas pass rush did a fair job, but Minnesota’s did an outstanding job proving to Tony Romo he isn’t ready for the big time. Yet.

As much as I hate to say it, Adrian Peterson wasn’t much of a factor.

And you predicted the correct score. How amazing is that! Too bad you’re not a bettering man, you could have made lots of $$$$$. Congrats, anyway.

Shucks, Twern't Nuthin!
Actually I was starting to worry about my prediction there in the
4th quarter so I quickly got on my cell phone and buzzed Bret and asked him to try for one more TD. He was gracious and did me a favor and threw one more TD just for me. (those of you who remember a previous blog of mine know I don't have a cell phone) so of course that didn't happen. Truth is I really wanted the "Boys" to win and I just wrote the earlier blog to try to stir something up out there amongst you guys. I can't believe it myself that I got the score right. No, I won't be predicting anymore scores in the near future!

John, Peterson may have been more of a factor than it showed on the stat sheet. I imagine the Cowboy defense was consentrating on him every down that he was on the field and that had to help Bret and his receivers do as well as they did.

OK, Colin. I have two questions for you.

1. Who will be the teams in the Super Bowl?
2. What will be the score?

C'mon now, I need to augment my retirement income.

Jets against the Colts. I don't think I've seen the Jets play Joe Willie Namath was quarterback. I spent a banquet evening with Archie Manning a few years back with one of our boys, so I'm going to root for the Colts and Peyton. Colts 21, Jets 14.

Minnesota against the Saints. I love Brett Favre and Adrian Peterson. My kids played against Robert Meachem (Booker T) and Jeremy Shockey (Ada), so I like the Saints, too. I'm going Vikes 24, Saints 21.

I need to analyze the next games before I predict the Super Bowl. I'm glad the games are on Sunday this week because we are working the Titan Classic Basketball Tournament this weekend. After day 1, we still have 5 Mid-Del teams playing!!

After my Cowboys fiasco, I'm getting out of the score-predicting business. All I'm saying is that I HOPE the Colts and Vikings win tomorrow. I really like Peyton Manning and the combo of Adrian Peterson-Brett Farve.

Glen, I'm sure sorry for all the misfortune I've brought upon you. I'm sure you will miss your old dog and you didn't say if Jessie was part of the deal or not but I'm sure you will miss her too if she was.
